As part of the State-wide Sewer Relining Panel with Water Corporation, Aaro were awarded the Metro Retic Relining FY22/23 package of works.
The main goal was to rehabilitate and enhance the integrity of the reticulation sewer network, which included relining 72 sections, covering 4.4km, aiming to extend the infrastructure’s life expectancy and minimise potential failures and disruptions.
During the project, several challenges emerged, leading to adjustments in the initial scope. One significant issue was internal ID discrepancies, which resulted in the descoping of 29 DN150 lines. Despite being a challenging project, Aaro successfully relined 36 sections, covering approximately 2km. The project also introduced a successful cosmic top hat installation process for the DN150 lines, enhancing efficiency.
Aaro successfully rehabilitated the reticulation sewer network, overcoming challenges and achieving the project’s objectives. The implementation of the new cosmic top hat installation process showcased our commitment to innovation. The project significantly improved the sewer network’s integrity.
